Summer Vacation...better late then never
I am so excited, we are finally leaving for vacation Friday morning. We have been attempting to get down to Flordia for a week since April but due to Zack's work schedule, kids activities, and finances, we haven't been able to go until now. This will be the first time that we drive there and not fly. We couldn't get are usual $35 a way Southwest tickets and so in an attempt to save about $500 were going to try. Hopefully the boys won't get to restless and cranky. I'm going to be bringing the dvd player, lots of snack, and some toys. Any ideas for things that have kept your kids entertained on long car trips will be greatly appreciated.

White Water Rafting Trip

Well I survived my first trip away from the kids. I did have a little panic at the end and asked my mom to take the kids with her to the beach for the weekend. It worked out great because the kids got to go some where and didn't feel like I was leaving them. Eventhough 70% of my trip was driving, I still had a fun time. In the last picture you can see the 20 foot rock that some of us jumped off into the water. I almost chickened out after I looked off the edge from the top. At one point my helmet got trapped under the raft and someone had to jump in and get it out. The kids did good with my mom. Matthew got so worn out from the beach that he fell asleep at the dinner table the first night.

Taking my first solo trip
So Labor day weekend I'm going to be spending the night away from my kids for the first time since giving birth to Matthew. I'm going to be going camping, hiking, and white water rafting with the staff from Jhoon Rhee. Needless to say, I'm a little bit nervous about being away from the kids, but it just sounded like too much fun to pass up.

THE BEACH !!!

So we finally made it to the beach last weekend. My parents are just about finished with their remodel (the house finally has a floor and kitchen again) so we were able to take the kids for the weekend. It was fun for the kids to get to spend so much time with Grandma, Grandpa, their Aunt and Uncle, and their cousin Alex. We had really good weather, hot enough to get in the water, but not too hot to spend all day on the beach. Hayen is absolutly hillarious in the water. He has no fear, and laughs when the waves knock him down. Also while we were there, we celebrated Zack's birthday with "all you can eat" crabs. YUM!!

Swimming Lessons

After four weeks of swimming lessons, both boys are doing great. Hayden is mastering side breathing and has started learning the backstroke. Mathew is learning freestyle, and wants to be able to do it on his own so bad. He'll let go of my arm for a few seconds and than grap back on when he starts to sink. He's gotton comfortable going underwater, and will even jump off the side and go under before I catch him.
New Blog
After loving Spencer and Ambers page for so long, I've finally decided to make my own. Not sure if I'll be as good about keeping it up to date....
